Step 1: Submit Application Form

Submission of the student’s Application Form will create a parent account and generate a personalized Checklist to track and navigate the remaining application process. The application portal will open October 1, 2022 and close on December 15, 2022.

Step 2: Complete Checklist Items

Available through your St. James parent account Checklist.

Release of Records

This is a required Checklist item for 8th-grade applicants. Upon your submission of the Release of Records Authorization form, your current school will forward student records and 7th-8th grade transcripts to St. James Academy. Please note, that transcripts may be sent after the completion of the 8th-grade first semester.

Step 3: Visit Us

Applicants may register to attend a Shadow Day or Open House. These are optional Checklist items for the applicant.

Step 4: HSPT

The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a required Checklist item for all 8th-grade applicants to attend St. James Academy. The test will be offered for the SJA Class of 2027 on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022. More information on the HSPT can be found here.

Step 5: Apply for Financial Aid (Optional)

All families are eligible to apply for Financial Aid. Financial Aid applications open on October 1, 2022, and are due by December 31, 2022, for new and returning students. (insert Financial Aid link here)

Step 6: Finish Application

Finalize all required Checklist items by the application deadline of December 15, 2022.

Step 7: Admission Decisions

Acceptance letters will be sent via email after 3:00 pm on Friday, February 10, 2023.

Step 8: Enrollment

If admitted, you will be asked to complete an enrollment contract, submit a non-refundable deposit, and begin class selection to secure a place in the class.

Transfer students

St. James Academy accepts 10th and 11th-grade transfer students. We are unable to accept 12th-grade transfers.

We are able to offer financial aid to transfer students, but it is limited.
